LITERARY CITIZENSHIP: VOLUNTEER
Visits as poet for Fox Run Elementary School’s annual Celebration of the Arts Day: in the past three years I have created and delivered presentations on Emily Dickinson, children’s librarian Anne Carroll Moore, and Beatrix Potter to classrooms. I have been invited back this year, 2016, and my presentation will include flowers, as well as literature. Each child will leave with a seed packet and a poem!
Delivers boxes of poems to the Norwalk Public Library and Brookside Elementary School in April, in honor of Poem in Your Pocket Day.
Appears as a reader for storytimes at both Brookside and Fox Run Elementary Schools in Norwalk, CT.
